She had been in this camp since she was a young girl, still going to high school at the time. Until the night she was caught and taken away because someone couldn't keep their mouth shut. She was sent away to the MRD HQ and experimented on failing all their tests. In her cell, she could hear the doctors talking about her, what her powers were, what else she could do and what she was capable of. With each passing moment, she hated the humans, always talking about them behind their back, thinking mutants didn't have feelings.
But we do, mutants are people too and should be treated as much. However, these humans gathered as much as they could about her and would discard her until they needed her again. While they had her on the table, they would take their knives to her, cutting her, taking down notes. She had no healing factor but they noted her hearing, sight and speed. Only what they had been told, they experimented, however, the healing factor was a lie yet they still cut her up, so scares lined her thighs and calves, back, chest and torso. Nothing could compare the hatred she feels for these humans. She hated them, the whole lot and then started to use these abilities of hers to hatch an escape plan.
So as the days came to pass, she was moved to Hellfire Camp. Here she felt the true pain of her fellow mutants. They did worse to you here, the mutants all had a collar on, more like shock collars, if one were to use their powers, they would be electrocuted. However, like most mutants at the camp, there were a few exceptions. If you had none threatening powers, just as sight and hearing you didn't get a collar. If you were able to breath fire, fly, control minds, or move things with your mind, you got a collar. It wasn't easy gathering the info she needed to escape, it took her several years to control her powers, both hearing and sight difficult to control at the same time.
However, most nights were rough on her, sometimes she would go to her chambers hungry. The food at camp was terrible, sometimes it was so bad, you either starve or hide your own food. So she would place her food in a plastic bag and placing it inside the toilet in the water tank. Whenever she was hungry she would take the bag out and start to eat, like bread, or if she was lucky, an apple. Fights over food would often break out and the shock collars were activated. And those who started it would end up in solitary where one would be alone and no one could hear you. Camp was terrible for her, but she kept her nose clean and her head down for the part.
Everyone once in a while they would come into her room and take her to a lab. Sometimes to only draw blood from her, other times they would inject her with something, only to struggling and rebel against the bonds holding her. If she had strength it wasn't impressive, more like average human. They would keep her sight, after she had learned to control it and even tested her hearing. But she would only use half the power because if they found out that she could control and use her powers, they would slap a collar on and she would never get away. So only using half her abilities she got away with the collar and was again sent to her room again with nothing to eat.
Lucky she had the bag and would eat pretty good that night. You learn how to steal, and stay away from others. No one ever really bonded in these camps, one would stay away from others, isolated was more like it. Some would welcome solitary if it would help them stay away from each other. She never got into any trouble, she never liked people around her in the first place. Though it was nice to have a conversation or two with yourself; the weather, the news and people. Would make you wonder how we stayed sane all this time. But at nights when she would lay alone, she would listen to things around, the clicking of a clock, the foot steps of a distant guard or a shower going.
Soon she started to learn the shift changes of the guards, where they do their rounds at the time and how long their smoke breaks were. Thank god for smoke breaks 'cause this plan would have never happened without it. So there she was, her back up against the wall, her night guard coming for his post. She knocked him out as he entered the room, taking his clothes and replacing them with hers. of course his neck is broken and his back facing the door. She walked out, the helmet on her head and the collar gone as she walked down the hall going to do her guards rounds. She made her way around the compound quietly as she could and met up with the group of men on a smoke break. Being the last one there, she found some overalls and changed and jumping the fence she escaped.
She was at least a couple of miles when they noticed she was gone, so she kept running, getting the hell out of dodge. In the city, she stole some clothes, water and food and headed out of town. Money in her pocket, weapons in her bag she headed to ground zero, NYC. There no one would dare try to find her, she would be alone, not bothered by anyone. So this is her story, its your choice to understand her, not to feel sorry for her, only understand her past. <End>
