JOINING OK. So you wanna join the site? Awesome! Well, the first thing you have to do is hop on over to the registry area. Get all signed up and whatnot. All that we ask when you do this is that afterward you put your character's first and last name as your screen name. The site is rated teen. And that's generally a good thing, considering it gives us free reign to do a lot of different stuff. But basically, all we ask is that you don't do anything too violent or too sexual on site. Graphically all we ask is that signatures aren't over 500 px wide or 500 px tall. Any larger than that gets a bit excessive and stretches the board. As for avatars, the biggest sizes are 150 px wide and 225 px tall.
CHARACTERS After being posted, applications have a total of seven days to be completed. If you need more time, contact a staff member. If it's not done by four days, we'll give you a three day notice before your app is archived. Don't post anywhere in character before your application is accepted. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with a lot of this, but please... No Mary-Sue's or Gary-Stue's. Everybody has their flaws, and there's nothing more annoying than a completely perfect character. All characters require their own accounts, and you can have four maximum. After that, you'll have to ask staff for permission to make more, and as long as you're pretty active with your other characters, we'll generally let you. Also we really want to keep ratios at a good level, as we all now when theres only 5 boys on the site with 28 girls it really gets boring, so please try to keep the ratios good, so for every two girls you make please have a boy or for every two boys you make please make a girl.
POSTING Our word count is 250. We know some people hate word counts and we understand that sometimes they can be really annoying but I think they are essential to keeping the levels up. We get that when you're having a bad day, you're having a bad day and sometimes you’ll only be able to post two hundred words and thats ok occasionally but don’t get too used to it. When threading, we ask that you use third person, past tense. It's just a lot easier on the eyes and don't stretch the site with your post coding.
ACTIVITY Try to post at least once a week with each of your characters. If an unaccepted account hasn't posted in two weeks, it will be deleted. Please don't cling to claims or characters if you're barely using them. It's unfair to other members that could potentially put them to better use. A good start to being active is replying to Activity Checks. We'll try to have one about every two months.
COMMUNITY. What about the staff? We're just like you. We just want to have fun and play some X Men, we don’t want to have to be bad guys so don’t make us . On that same token, respect your other members as well. Leave the gossip and drama to your characters, where it's supposed to be. Don't advertise anywhere but in the appropriate board. Spamming, flaming, racial/derogatory slurs will not be tolerated in the C-Box. It's probably you're easiest ticket to being banned. If you are going to be inactive for over a week let us know in the absence board. If there is an unexplained absence you will lose your character in the activity check. And it may be cheesy, but that's what this site was created for. FUN.
